Kelley Knitz is a candidate for Troy Township trustee

Knitz learned to make her presence known early on in life being the middle child of eight children. She has two daughters, Kristen and Janette, three going on four grandchildren, two cats and a dog. She has been a resident of Troy Township for 35 years. Her children had a wonderful life while growing up in the township.

She would like to use her skills to work together with the other trustees to keep the township a great location to reside in and to collaborate together to continue making improvements.

Knitz is a self-made, highly motivated, successful businesswoman of 33 years. She earned her business degree early on in life and as her career unfolded, she became a real estate broker. Through her experience, she became an outstanding leader and has mentored many business associates in her field. She has countless hours of continuing education that would serve her well as a trustee. Her most recent accomplishment is earning her certification by the State of Ohio to be an ombudsman allowing her to follow her passion of advocating for the elderly in the community.

Knitz is also on the board of directors for Ruthies Angels, a non-profit organization.

Her strengths include running a business, creating budgets, strategic problem solving, communicating effectively, leading others, working as a team and outstanding public relations.
