The Bowling Green High School football coach has been suspended from this week’s football activities.

In an email sent to football parents Monday, Superintendent Ted Haselman said some recent actions by Josh Wade that did not align with the district’s high standards were brought to his attention.

At no time was a student-athlete in any danger due to the behavior, he wrote.

“The behavior goes against our internal policy,” Haselman said.

Wade’s actions were not disclosed due to confidentiality.

He has been suspended from this week’s football activities but will continue teaching in the classroom as assigned.

“Actions have consequences,” Haselman wrote. “With any disciplinary situation, we hope the outcome is a learning experience for those involved.”

Wade is in his third year coaching the Bobcat football team and is a social studies teacher.
