Perrysburg’s Deal, BG’s Pollick top golfers in thier divisions

Perrysburg golfer Sydney Deal shot a medalist 71 to lead the Yellow Jackets to a Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division championship at Riverby Hills Golf Club on Monday.

Perrysburg shot a 338 as team to defeat second place Anthony Wayne (374), followed by Findlay (398), Toledo Whitmer (450) and Sylvania Northview (505).

Perrysburg won the league championship in big part because of their tournament performance because they finished 3-1 in dual matches, losing to AW.

Other Perrysburg golfers were Ariyah Ellis (86), Paige Feldkamp (89), Olivia Eiseman (92), and Mia Moffitt (98).

Deal, who will golf at Florida Gulf Coast University next year, and AW golfer Sophia Stanton tied for the Buckeye Division’s top player honors and are both first team. Ellis is also first team and Eiseman, Feldkamp and Moffitt are second team All-NLL.

AW golfers were Stanton (75), Maddie Mitchell (93), Lila Hippert (103), Piper Phillips (103), Bella Moser (108) and Teaghan Gwin (112).

Findlay golfers were Ava Metz (89), Natalie Gutman (93), Josey Weihrauch (99), Lainey Ricker (117) and Abby Kasselman (120).

Whitmer golfers were Kenzie Richardson (98), Alyssa Sexton (114), Laney Snodgrass (115), Izzy Pierson (123), Allison Jackson (125), and Trinity Ortman (130).

Northview golfers were Myah Greene (99), Sienna Welch (126), Jordyn Romero (136) and MacKenzie Fritz (144).

Pollick tops in Cardinal Division

In the final NLL Cardinal Division standings, Bowling Green finished fourth behind champion Napoleon. Sylvania Southview was second, Clay third, Springfield fifth and Fremont Ross sixth.

In the league tournament at Riverby Hills, Napoleon shot 392 followed by Southview (402), Clay (428), BG (432), Springfield (440) and Ross (472).

Lily Pollick led the Bobcats, shooting a 92, and is a first team All-NLL selection and finished as the top player in the Cardinal Division. She placed second in the tournament, one stroke behind Clay golfer Izzy Vriezelaar (91).

Other BG golfers were Deanna Burt (112), Sophie Fruth (113), Brynn Wilhelm (115), and Annie Urban (119). In league dual matches this season BG was 3-2.

Napoleon golfers were Reese Kleck (94), Sydney Bechtol (96), Avery Badenhop (100), Addie Butler (102), Kamryn Chaffee (104), and Ayla Cooper (117).

Southview golfers were Sydney Sutton (93), Emma Curth (100), Tayvian Walton (104), Emma Irons (105), Ashley O’Loughlin (107) and Evvie Jackson (108).

Other Clay golfers were Emma Martin (103), Kelsey Osborne (104), Julia Joyce (130), Celina “Raven” Martinez (138), and Casey Judy (146).

Springfield golfers were Kaymen Willard (96), Ava Holmes (105), Lily Altstaetter (113), Alex Daney (126) and Laney Edwards (167).

Ross golfers were Jenna Ollom (107), Brenah Parker (113), Olivia Anstead (124), Addison Schoch (129), Ella Warner (128), and Morgan Batey (134).
