Country Garden Club’s 36th annual Trunk Show to benefit local nonprofits

PERRYSBURG — Country Garden Club of Perrysburg’s 36th annual Trunk Show will be Oct. 3 and 4 at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club in Perrysburg.

Twenty vendors offering clothing, jewelry, purses, home goods, and food items will be at this year’s event. Vendors are from around the country and include Classy Bag Lady, Claymore Shop, Flutter Eyewear, Just Girls Boutique, Kathy Kamei Designs, KPea Original, Kricket Lane Designs, Lulu Merie, Megan Reed Design, Meig, Pearly Vine, Short Steve Button Downs, Slippery Elm, Sophia Lustig, Soxfords, Striped Shirt Studio, Tanari Earth, Toffee Traditions, Trends in Fashion, and Wendy Nelson Jewelers.

Additionally, Country Garden Club will have their booth offering handmade ecofriendly items.

Proceeds from the annual trunk show allow Country Garden Club to award community project grants to local nonprofits.

“Since its inception, Country Garden Club has given more than $750,000 to the community,” says Judy Lang, CGC president.

CGC annually awards community project grants. In 2023, the club awarded nearly $50,000 in grants to 12 local organizations, including the 577 Foundation, Fort Meigs Historic Battlefield, Water for Ishmael, Toledo School for the Arts, Aurora Project, Friends of SideCut Park, Toledo Day Nursery, W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, and the Way Public Library.

The Trunk Show runs from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 and from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 4. Tickets are $10 each. A buffet lunch will be available for purchase each day.

October 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. has been dubbed a “Girls Night Out.” Ticket price for the evening is $7 each or two for $10. The evening will include shopping, charcuterie, and music by Chloe and the Steel Strings.
