Wood County Prevention Coalition meets

The Wood County Prevention Coalition’s next meeting is Friday at 9 a.m. at the Wood County Educational Service Center, 1867 N. Research Dr.

The Wood County Prevention Coalition unites compassionate community members working together to coordinate high quality programs for the prevention of youth substance abuse in Wood County.

Genoa Harvest Festival is Saturday

Bring the whole family on Saturday for daylong celebration in downtown Genoa. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a vendor and craft fair on Main Street, followed by a day full of kid’s activities, food trucks, art in the park, hay rides, a kiddie parade, pie baking contest, mac & cheese chase and much more.

There will be live music from the JT Hayden Band at 6 p.m. and a fireworks display at dusk.

Quarter frenzy benefits Unit 193 legion auxiliary

PEMBERVILLE — A quarter frenzy with proceed benefiting the Pemberville American Legion Auxiliary programs for veterans and their families will be held Sunday at the Pemberville legion, 405 E. Front St.

The cost is $5 and the adults-only event starts at 6 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
