Bowling Green City Schools students painted city snow plows again this fall.

They will be on display at the Black Swamp Festival.

Conneaut Elementary’s fifth grade used Charley Harper’s nature illustrations as inspiration. His work uses simple shapes and solid colors.

“We are showing animals and insects that can be found in Northwest Ohio,” said Conneaut art teacher Kelsey Liska.

Bethany Dombi, art teacher from Kenwood, had her students paint flowers in the style of Takashi Murakami.

Crim fifth graders painted Matisse images on their plow.

The middle school and the high school also painted plows. Nikki Myers helped students experiment with some vinyl stickers they cut to add to an aerial football field scene. Margo Morr is the new middle school art teacher with students hard at work on their plow.

The plows will be featured at Black Swamp and then in the holiday parade. Students are excited to see their plows clearing the roads all winter. Each school paints the plow used predominantly in their student body area.
