MILLBURY—At Lake Community Stadium Friday, Delta defeated the Flyers in a non-league shootout, 38-28. Delta improves to 2-1 while Lake is 1-2.
For the Flyers, quarterback Carter Behlmer completed 17-of-27 passes for 282 yards and Caleb Tobias completed 2-of-4 passes for 54 yards. The two Lake quarterbacks combined to throw four interceptions, two apiece.
David Parsons caught four passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns, Joah Herman caught two passes for 16 yards, and Gavin Kohlhofer caught two passes for 38 yards and one TD.
Jay Blazevich caught nine passes for 162 yards and one TD, and Brandon Darr and Preston Snyder each caught one pass for four yards.
Behlmer led the Lake rushing attack with 26 yards on eight carries and Izyck Whalen had 19 yards on seven carries.
Delta had 13 first downs to Lake’s eight, and the Lake defense did force one lost fumble by the Delta offense.
