The heartbeat of the Black Swamp Arts Festival pulses with the collaborative spirit and meaningful contributions of the local community. Scheduled to run from Sept. 8-10, the 100% volunteer-run event is actively seeking individuals and groups to sign up now to fill the remaining open positions and help make the festival a success.

Volunteers can sign up by visiting the festival’s website at: www.blackswampfest.org and click on the Volunteer link at the top of the page. Most volunteer shifts are two to three hours long. The festival’s smooth operation hinges on the contribution of approximately 1,000 volunteers.

There is a timeslot and type of volunteer position available to fit every schedule and preference, including with set up, tear down, Youth Arts, and in the beer garden. The need for volunteers spans from prepping and setting up for the festival on Friday morning to the tear-down on Sunday late afternoon and evening.

Community organizations, groups, and individuals are all encouraged to volunteer.

The Black Swamp Arts Festival is a three-day, free live music and arts festival committed to providing quality art and music experiences. Held in downtown Bowling Green the first full weekend after Labor Day, there are three stages of music, two art shows, Youth Arts, Chalk Walk, Beats on the Street, Interactive Artist Installation, and more.
