North Baltimore falls to Hardin Northern, 49-21

BASCOM — North Baltimore football fell to Hardin Northern, 49-21, Friday despite 174 yards passing from freshman quarterback Lucas Long.

Long completed 16 of 28 passes with one touchdown and no interceptions. Rowan Tackett-Spangenburg also completed 1-of-2 passes, which was for a 55-yard touchdown to Jacob Rockhill.

Wyatt Boltz had three catches for 27 yards, Gabe Patterson had one catch for 24 yards, Thain Spangenburg had one catch for nine yards, and Tackett-Spangenburg had eight catches for 52 yards, including a 25-yard TD reception from Long.

Long also carried the ball 10 times for zero net yards, but his longest run went for 11 yards and he had a TD run.

Three other backs, Spangenburg, Braiden Solly, and Trevor Walter combined for 16 carries but just a total of seven net yards as the Tigers had difficulty advancing the ball on the ground.
