Rossford man dies in Saturday crash
PERRYSBURG — A Rossford man riding a sports bike was killed Saturday after reportedly failing to stop for a red light at the Ohio 795 and Tracy Road intersection.
At approximately 3:08 a.m., troopers from the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a sports bike and pickup truck.
Cameron Overmyer, 20, Elmore, was driving a 2008 Ford pick-up truck westbound on Route 795. Chase Worthington, 25, Rossford, was driving a 2004 Suzuki GSXR sports bike southbound on Tracy Road.
Worthington failed to stop at a red light, and struck Overmyer’s vehicle at the front right quarter panel, according to the patrol. He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
Overmyer was not injured.
Stone Shelter vandalized
On Thursday at 7:33 a.m., Bowling Green police responded to the Masonic Stone Shelter at City for a call of criminal damaging.
A city employee told the officer that sometime between 4-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning subjects smeared gum all over the ground and were drinking cans of Four Loko alcohol that she had cleaned up already.
According to the Bowling Green Police Division report, two picnic tables had words carved into them.
BG Human Relations Commission meets
The Human Relations Commission will meet on Friday at 8 a.m. in council chamber, 305 N Main Street.
