Albert L. Bear, Sr., 92, of Deshler, died at 9:11 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on October 25, 1930, in North Baltimore to the late Jessie and Blanche (Winkleman) Bear. He married Dorothy M. Baney on August 8, 1992, and she survives.
Albert is also survived by his sons: Albert Bear, Jr. of Cygnet and Jesse (Julie Michelle) Bear of Huron; daughters: Linda (Chris) Albright of North Baltimore, Donna (Henry) Markle of Custar, Mary Puckett of Fostoria and Michelle (Steven) Weaver of Rudolph; brother, Robert Bear of North Baltimore; sisters: Barbara Bloom of Hoytville and Lucille (Bill) Thompson of FL; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and many more to come.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Bear; and sisters: Rosella Grant, Gladys Baney and Rose Hunt.
Albert retired from Smith Foundry in North Baltimore and also as a Farmer. He was a former North Baltimore Auxiliary Police Department Officer, and had participated as an actor Ghost Town in Findlay over the years. Albert enjoyed fishing and horse trading.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, with Walter Young officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, and 1 hour (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service.
