Keith Allen DeWalt

Keith Allen DeWalt, 66, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 11th, at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio. Keith was born in Bowling Green, Ohio to parents Ronald and Carol (Rudolph) DeWalt. He was a 1975 graduate of Bowling Green High School, and received his Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Business from Bowling Green State University. Keith was a Certified Public Accountant and was partner at DeWalt & Gallup.

Aside from his professional work, Keith was an avid fisherman, handyman, runner, and gardener. Keith was an active member of Calvary Church of Maumee, teaching junior high boys Sunday School in the 1990’s, operating and managing the Calvary Café and coffee ministry, served as a deacon on the Board of Directors, and as a financial advisor. A philanthropist and generous man, Keith donated to many charities and causes over the years.

Keith is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Christine “Chris” (Kollar) DeWalt; daughter Sarah (Christian) Marlowe, grandchildren Luke and Chase; daughter Stacy (Jeremy) DeWalt, grandchildren Samuel, Elise, and Caroline; son Ian (Melody) DeWalt, grandson Keith Beckett, with another baby expected in January 2024; sisters Ronda Young, Cathy Moriarty, and Kara Reynolds. Keith was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Keith met Chris at Bowling Green Junior High School and remained friends through their high school years. They married in 1978 at Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green, Ohio. This September would have been their 45th wedding anniversary. Chris supported Keith when he started his own accounting practice in the 1980’s, which enabled him to grow it into what it is today.

Keith spent most of his free time with his children and their families, and he was a fun-loving “Papa” to his grandchildren. Also known as Uncle Keiter, he had many nieces and nephews who called him their favorite uncle.

Making friends everywhere he went, Keith’s generosity and kindness was unstoppable and extended well beyond his family and close friends.

A public gathering will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10-11 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Those wishing to offer donations in memory of Keith can contact The Pregnancy Center of Greater Toledo (aka Bella Vita).
