The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Wood County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.
Interstate 75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, may have occasional lane restrictions for finish work related to a reconstruction project. Estimated completion: Fall 2023.
South Avenue, between I-75 northbound and southbound ramps, will be closed for overhead bridge sealing, overnight, nightly July 17 through July 20, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. Northbound I-75 to westbound detour: Northbound I-75 to Collingwood Blvd. (Exit 201A) to southbound I-75 to South Ave. (Exit 200). Southbound I-75 to eastbound detour: Southbound I-75 to Miami St. (Exit 199) to northbound I-75 to South Ave.
Lime City Road over Interstate 75, Rossford, is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal following a strike from an over-height load which damaged the bridge. Traffic will remain in this pattern for several months.
*Restrictions Sunday*
Northbound I-475, between Ohio 65 and U.S. 24, Perrysburg/Maumee, will experience lane restrictions for bridge inspections on Sunday, July 16, 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
U.S. 20, between I-75 and Simmons Road, Perrysburg/Rossford, will experience lane restrictions and closures for installation of a turn lane. Westbound will be reduced to one lane during overnight hours. Eastbound left turn to the former Holiday Inn French Quarter center may be closed during phase 1 (detour: Eastbound US 20 to Simmons Road to South Compass Drive to westbound Route 20.
Ohio 18, between Bloomdale and Hancock County line, and in Bloomdale, will experience lane restrictions for finish work through July.
Ohio 25, between Cygnet Road and U.S. 6, Bowling Green/Portage, closed to through traffic through July 2023 for road reconstruction. Detour: I-75 to U.S. 6.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
All (four) U.S. 6 ramps to/from Route 25 and Route 25 between the ramps are closed for resurfacing through mid-August. Updated Detour: I-75 to Route 6 to County Home Road to Dunbridge Road to Napoleon Road.
Route 25 from Cygnet Road/Exit 171 will reopen to Portage when Route 6 ramps close. Route 25 will be fully closed between the Route 6 ramps. Local traffic should take County Home Road or Rudolph Road.
This is the final full closure that is necessary for this project.
Ohio 64, from I-75 to Mercer Road is restricted to one lane in each direction during construction of a roundabout at Campbell Hill Road. Work is being performed on behalf of the city of Bowling Green and will continue until late summer.

Ohio 105, between North Dunbridge and Carter roads, will be closed for drainage repairs beginning July 24 for three days. Following the closure, westbound will remain closed for installation of a turn lane through September. Both jobs are permit work.
Ohio 199, between Sugar Ridge and Devil’s Hole roads, Webster Twp., will be closed for a culvert replacement through Friday, July 21. Detour: Route 6 to I-75 to Route 582.
Ohio 235, between Sand Ridge Road and Taylor St., Weston, will be closed for a bridge replacement project through July. Detour: Route 281 to Route 65 to Route 6.
*New closure starts Wednesday*
Ohio 281, between Liberty Hi and Mitchell roads, Rudolph, will be closed for a bridge replacement over the North Branch Portage River beginning Wednesday, through late September. Detour will initially be Route 65 to Route 6 to Route 199 due to closure of Route 235 at Sand Ridge Road, but will be adjusted once Route 235 reopens.
Various routes in the county will be restricted through the work zone for installation of pavement markings. Estimated completion: November 2023.
Various routes in Wood County may be restricted at times for a sign replacement project. Estimated completion: early August.
