BG man charged with alleged rape faces life in prison

A Bowling Green man accused of rape faces life in prison if found guilty.

Travis Noon, 25, was arraigned Thursday in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Joel Kuhlman.

Noon, who was indicted earlier this month for two counts of alleged rape, appeared via video from the jail.

From June 12-15 and again June 15-19 in Bowling Green, he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with the same female who was under the age of 10.

Kuhlman said mandatory life in prison without parole was a possible sentence.

Wood County Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Pamela Gross said the alleged incident occurred when there were other children in the residence.

Noon will remain in jail with a $100,000 bond for the two first-degree felonies.

If released, he is to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 or with anyone in the household where the alleged incident occurred.

His pretrial was scheduled for Aug. 24.
