The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball program and head coach Todd Simon announced the signing of EJay Greer on Tuesday.

Greer, a 6-foot-8 wing, will be joining the Falcons as an incoming freshman after playing at Delaware County Christian School and Rocktop Academy.

“EJay is a dynamic player with guard skills at 6-foot-8,” said Simon. “His ability to handle the ball and shoot the three will make him a tough matchup.

“He has tremendous upside and the character to reach his potential. We think he can make an impact and help us win this season.”

A native of Philadelphia, Greer is coming off a prep season at Rocktop Academy where he averaged 25.1 points per game to go along with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals per game.

Prior to playing at Rocktop Academy, Greer competed for Delaware County Christian School where he averaged 19.2 points per game, six rebounds and two steals as a senior.

His junior season was cut short due to COVID, but at the time of the season’s conclusion Greer was averaging 16.1 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and two steals.

In addition to the strong statistics, Greer led his team to a 2020-21 BAL Championship while earning MVP honors during the season.

As for the 2018-19 campaign, he aided his squad to a Districts 2A Championship. Greer also played for BW Elite and Team Final Red while being a member of the National Honors Society. Greer plans to major in business at Bowling Green.

Greer brings the current roster to 14 for the Falcons, consisting of six guards, five forwards and three wings. In addition to Greer, the wings include senior Da’Shawn Phillip and sophomore P.J. Edwards.

The guards for the Falcons currently include seniors DaJion Humphrey and Trey Thomas, juniors Marcus Hill and D.J. Smith and sophomores Anthony McComb III and JZ Saher.

The current roster rounds out with forwards, consisting of seniors Rashaun Agee, Jason Spurgin and Sam Towns, sophomore Greg Spurgin and redshirt freshman Jamai Felt.
