Hockey Helping Heroes comes to BG, Perrysburg

The Columbus based First Responder Face-Off Foundation and its Hockey Helping Heroes initiative will be a Carry The Load non-profit partner for the 2023 Memorial May campaign.

Carry The Load is a non-profit that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices of our military, veterans, first responders and their families.

Join Carry The Load and the National Relay team on Sunday at 6 p.m. atDollar General, 110 W. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, and at 7 p.m. at Dunham’s Sports, 1234 N Main St., in the Woodland Mall.

“Partnering with Carry The Load is something very special. With Carry The Load and in our third year of the partnership, we’re able to bring a National message of remembrance and honor to communities all throughout the State of Ohio” said Executive Director Don Zender.

Supporters are encouraged to join the mission at www.hockeyhelpingheroes.org. Funds raised between now and Memorial Day go to supporting military and first responder families.

People of all ages can walk with the National Relay team or attend a rally at a location near them. Registration is complimentary at carrytheload.org/Memorial-May.

About Hockey Helping Heroes

Hockey Helping Heroes is a statewide initiative created by the non-profit First Responder Face-Off Foundation. The initiative links all military and first responder hockey teams across Ohio together in hosting annual charity hockey games. Most recently the group was in Toledo in April in partnership with the Toledo Walleye in hosting the Toledo Memorial Classic at the Huntington Center.
