Deans Lists: Wood County students receive academic honors

Kent State University

A total of 269 Kent State University full-time students were named to the dean’s list for superior academic achievement during the summer semester.

To be named to the dean’s list, full-time students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.40 or greater and must have completed 12 or more letter-graded credit hours.

Local honorees included Gabriella Amador, Bowling Green, and Katelyn Brown, Perrysburg.

University of Kentucky

The University of Kentucky has released its dean’s list for the fall semester. A total of 8,512 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance.

To make a dean’s list in one of the UK colleges, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher and must have earned 12 credits or more in that semester, excluding credits earned in pass-fail classes.

Perrysburg residents Merritt Noelle Backus, Mason Christie and Lila Ann Kalman made the list.

Olivet Nazarene University

Madison Barbour of Bowling Green, was named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed fall semester.

To qualify for inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

The school is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Cedarville University

The following students were named to the fall dean’s list at Cedarville University.

Students receive this recognition for obtaining a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Carter Taft of Bloomdale made the list.

The following students were named to the fall dean’s honor list at Cedarville University for obtaining a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Local students who made this list include Kieryn Black of Bowling Green, Joseph Heise of Northwood, Nevin Haas of Perrysburg, Hannah Facer of Bowling Green and Micah Foreman of North Baltimore.

Heidelberg University

Heidelberg University,Tiffin, has announced the names of 387 students who have earned academic recognition on the fall semester dean’s list.

Saint Mary’s College

The following students have been named to the Saint Mary’s College dean’s list for the fall semester.

To earn this academic honor, a student must achieve a GPA of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes and no grades lower than a C.

Katherine Theriault, Perrysburg, made the list.

The school is located in Notre Dame, Indiana.

Mercy College of Ohio

The following students were awarded honors for the fall semester at Mercy College of Ohio.

To be named on the dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 12 or more credit hours.

To be named on the honor’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and be enrolled for 6-11 credit hours.

To be named on the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade point average and be enrolled for 14 or more credit hours.
