Arlene M. Oberhouse, 86, of Luckey, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
She was born in Luckey, Ohio, on November 10, 1936, to Emmanuel L. and Mabel C. (Bruning) Miller. On October 4, 1969 Arlene married Glen H. “Obie” Oberhouse at Grace Lutheran Church in Luckey. They raised 2 daughters and celebrated 32 years of marriage together before Glen’s passing in October of 2001.
In addition to being a homemaker, Arlene in her early years worked as a secretary for Sun Oil Credit Union for over 10 years. She was a member of Salem Grace United Lutheran Church, where her ministries included making school packets and quilting. Arlene also enjoyed, gardening, canning and cooking. She and Glen were fond of traveling and Arlene went on cruises in her later years. Her family was her greatest joy, particularly reading to and taking care of her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Shawn Oberhouse of Luckey, grandchildren: Tyler Oberhouse, Montgomery Kramer, Conor Oberhouse, Mallory Kramer, Colton Oberhouse and Caden Oberhouse. Brother: Howard (Darlene) Miller of Maumee, son-in-law: Eric Kramer of Pemberville, sister-in-law: Shirley Miller of Canada and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Glen, Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kaylene Kramer and brother, Gerald Miller.
Friends and family will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Luckey, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at Salem Grace United Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023. There will be additional visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Pastor Leroy Sholey will officiate. Interment will be at Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Salem Grace United Lutheran Church.
