Work continues to progress on the West Wooster Street/Haskins Road water and sewer improvement project.

The contractor has completed 100% of the waterline upgrades and 25% of the sewer line replacement portion of this project, according to a Thursday news release from the City of Bowling Green.

As work continues to progress, intermittent lane restrictions and closures along West Wooster and Haskins can be expected and restrictions at intersections may be necessary.

After the water and sewer improvements have been completed, the curbs will be replaced and the trenches will be paved along West Wooster and Haskins throughout the project area.

Current estimates indicate the water and sewer project will be completed by early August. Upon completion of the water and sewer project, a separate contractor will complete a full-width milling and paving project along West Wooster and Haskins.

This schedule is dependent upon weather and progress of work.

The total cost of the project is $3.1 million.
