Celebrate Día with library and La Conexión

Join the Wood County District Public Library for another Día celebration.

In partnership with La Conexión, WCDPL will celebrate El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) on April 30 from 2-4 p.m. in the library atrium, 251 N. Main St.

Students from La Conexión will present bilingual portrayals of historical figures from Naibe Reynoso’s books “Be Bold! Be Brave!,” “Fearless Trailblazers” and “Courageous History Makers.” Refreshments will be served, and children can choose between a book in English or Spanish to take home.

April 30 is an annual celebration of Día (Children’s Day/Book Day,) an American Library Association initiative emphasizing the importance of connecting all children from all backgrounds with library materials in many languages and about many cultures. La Conexión is a welcoming resource of unity and representation for the Latino/a community of Wood and surrounding counties in Ohio.

This event is supported by the Marjorie Conrad Estate. No registration is required. For more information, call 419-352-8253, email [email protected], or visit wcdpl.org/.
