Dale Richard Duquette, 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne Indiana.
Dale was the oldest of six children. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Dale was a son of the late Lloyd and Kathryn (Gibson) Duquette. Dale was a 1959 graduate of Eastwood High School in Pemberville, Ohio. Dale married his high school sweetheart Phyllis Mae Brinker. Dale worked as a machinist with Brush Wellman (Materion) for 42 years, prior to his retirement.
Dale and his wife Phyllis lived in Northwest Ohio for 60 years then moved to Columbia City Indiana where they have lived for the past 4 years. After Dale and Phyllis’s retirement they spent many winters volunteering at LEC United Methodist Retreat Center in Fruitland Park, Florida. Dale enjoyed woodworking, wood carving, collecting things of his interest, fishing, traveling, loved cars especially Fords and Lincolns. Dale especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Phyllis Mae Duquette; children, Timothy “Tim” (Deb) Duquette of Bowling Green Ohio, Anthony “Tony” (Debra) Duquette of Columbia City Indiana; grandchildren, Keith (Amanda) Duquette, Corey (Monika) Duquette, Emilee (Ryan) Petrill; great-grandchildren Lauren, Corbyn, Penn, Logan, Jackson, and Mox; siblings, Robert (Katy) Duquette, Sharon Robinson, Gary (Marcy) Duquette; and sister-in-law, Jean Duquette. Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Lloyd Duquette, Carolyn Duquette, and brother-in-law, Jim Robinson.
A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Bradner United Methodist Church, Bradner Ohio where Dale and Phyllis attended. Visitation will begin at 10:30 with services beginning at 11:30 officiated by Paster Tamara Bennett. Lunch will be served after the service. Memorials may be made to the Bradner United Methodist Church Childrens Ministry. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
