A Bowling Green High School student has reportedly been arrested for making concerning online comments.
In a Tuesday email to parents and guardians, Superintendent Francis Scruci said that on Monday night, the Bowling Green City Schools district was made aware by the Bowling Green Police Division that a high school student had made comments online that were concerning to the person who reported it.
“We were immediately informed by the Bowling Green Police Division and collaboratively worked with them,” Scruci said. “During the police department investigation, they determined the student had made comments that led to his arrest.
“The school district will be taking the appropriate measures,” he said in the email. “As a reminder, now would be a good time for parents/guardians to talk to your student and remind them of the serious consequences of making comments online as well as the importance of reporting comments if a student sees one on line.
“We place a high priority on the safety of our students and staff. We appreciate your continued support. Together we can keep our students and staff safe.”
