‘Dracula’ — with a comic spin — put on by BGHS drama

The Bowling Green High School Drama Club is presenting a seasonally-appropriate production this weekend – “Dracula: A Comic Thriller” by Kent Brown.

This two-act parody of the famous novel by Brams Stoker pits the nieces of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson against the classic vampire himself.

Over 50 cast and crew members have collaborated on this production, and an additional 25 theatre design students have contributed this semester, building and painting coffins and creating other elements of the setting.

Directed by BGHS Drama Club Adviser Jo Beth Gonzalez with technical direction from Performing Arts Center Manager Brea Lecklikner, the production features sophomore Isaac Sands sophomore as Dracula and seniors Elle Mitsch and Carly Lake as Jennie Watson and Shirley Holmes.

Stage managers are Audrey Nester (senior), Sophia Kelly (junior) and Nia Warman (freshman).

Performances are tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
