The American Association of University Women Bowling Green Branch and Bowling Green Councilman Jeff Dennis will host a public forum on proposed updates to the city’s zoning code on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St. The forum will begin at 9 a.m. with a brief presentation, followed by ample opportunity for discussion. Coffee and donuts will be provided by AAUW. All are welcome to attend.
“A consistent goal of mine has been finding ways to engage the public in the work we do on their behalf,” Dennis said. “This will be one more opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed zoning changes. Consistent with the mission of AAUW, we’ll also be discussing how these policies can help create a more equitable and inclusive community, which is something I haven’t seen discussed much throughout this process.”
Since 1938, the AAUW Bowling Green Branch has worked to advance equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy at the local, state and federal levels. To apply for a membership, visit: https://bowlinggreen-oh.aauw.net/membership/.
