Marilyn D. Frobose-Cooper

Marilyn D. Frobose-Cooper of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Thursday August 29, 2019. She was born
November 26, 1922 in Wood County to Henry and Dora (Kuhlman) Bockbrader. She was the eighth child of 10
children, all born at home on the farm. Marilyn was a 1940 graduate of Pemberville High School.
She married Harold Frobose in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1966. Marilyn is survived by her
children John (Mary) Frobose and Jane Sergent both of Bowling Green; grandchildren Kaymie (Mark) Hafner,
Dane (Tina) Sergent, Kari Sergent, Johnny (Jessica) Frobose and Henry Frobose; and 8
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patti Dunn, sisters-in-law Mickey Bockbrader and
Lois Bockbrader, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in
death.
Marilyn married Sam Cooper in 1989 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She leaves step-children Emily
Welty of North Carolina and Jerry Welty of Akron, Ohio, two step-grandchildren Chad (Ann) Welty and
Monica Brown.
Marilyn was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, Ohio. She enjoyed traveling and
traveled throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico. She had a grandson born in Puerto Rico.
She was always ready to play euchre with family and friends. Her favorite sports were baseball and
basketball and she enjoyed cheering for the New York Yankees, Michigan State and Duke University.
Marilyn took great pride in keeping a tidy and clean home. She lived in her home until her death. She
loved the beauty of nature, especially sunsets and going to her farm in Pemberville to check on the
crops. Her true passion and never ending source of enjoyment was her family.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran
Church, 315 S. College Drive. Pastor Rob Spicer will officiate. Interment will follow at Pemberville
Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the
service at 11:00 a.m.
