Virginia L. “Jinny” George

Virginia L. “Jinny” George, 81, of Bloomdale, passed away at her home Thursday, May 9, 2019. She was born
March 17, 1938 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Carroll and Grace (Underwood) Frank. She married James “Jim”
George on March 24, 1957 in Monroe, Michigan. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Jinny enjoyed her life on the farm. She was Jim’s “best” farmhand and could do anything he needed.
She was a 1956 Graduate of Bowling Green High School. She loved gardening, spending time outdoors, and
traveling to Amish country. Jinny was a member of Christ Community Church near Bloomdale, Ohio, where
she offered her beautiful voice every Sunday. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power of
Jesus Christ’s love, and the peace that would await her after her passing. She was a member of the Red
Hat Society in Wayne, Ohio.
Jinny’s greatest love by far was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much
joy. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, daughters Vicki (Tom) Baker of Fostoria, Kimberly
(John) Moses of Bloomdale, and Penny Plotner of Sidney; grandchildren, Troy (Kristin) Frankart, Morgan
(Blake) Lemley, Jonathon Sybert, Brooke (Wesley) Downing, Jenna Plotner, Austin Moses, Julia Plotner,
Jarvie Plotner, and Dustin Moses; great-grandchildren Alexa, Jacob, Kaleb, Adele, Nora, Jessa, and
Harper. Sisters Dorothy Kubiak and Elsie (Larry) Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard (Tammy) Frank, sister Joanne (Dennis) Barnett ,
brother-in-law Tom Kubiak.
The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice as well as Amy, Taylor, and Katie for their loving care and
support. They provided much comfort to both Jinny and her family.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday (May 13, 2019) at Barndt Funeral Home in
Wayne, Ohio where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (May 14, 2019) with
Pastor David Pfouts officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery in Bloom Township, Wood County, Ohio.
