‘Macbeth’ opens ‘Met: Live in HD’ series

The Metropolitan Opera’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series of live performance transmissions
"The Met: Live in HD" starts a new season Saturday.
Giuseppe Verdi’s "Macbeth," starring Anna Netrebko and Zeljko Lucic, will be broadcast to more
than 650 theaters nationwide including at the Cinemark theaters Fallen Timbers 14, 2300 Village Drive
West in Maumee and Franklin Park 16, 5001 Monroe St., Toledo.
The live broadcast will be Saturday at 12:55 with an encore showing Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Met opera stars serve as hosts for the HD series conducting live interviews with cast, crew members and
production teams. They introduce behind-the-scenes features during intermission, giving the audience a
look at what goes into the staging of an opera.
