Laura Lynn Sisley, 66, of Fremont, Ohio and formerly of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 19,
2020 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. Her family was by her side after a courageous
battle with cancer.
She was born August 28, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas to the late John Homan and Beverly Sue (Shutz)
Huntington. She was also preceded in death by a stepfather, Robert Huntington.
Laura was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, Bowling Green, Ohio. She was a proud member of the
Union and enjoyed her membership at the Eagle’s Lodge in Fremont and Bowling Green.
She was a loving person and her family was the center of her life. She always cared for her parents,
remained close to her only sister, adored her son, cherished her grandchildren and was blessed to have a
devoted partner and countless friends. They will remember her fondly and recall her love for gardening,
swimming and dinners with family. They promise to care for her pet dog, Maddie.
She is survived by her son, Robert Sisley (Alyssa Borchardt), Bowling Green, Ohio; sister, Nancy
Showalter, Perrysburg, Ohio; her life partner, Andy Shiets, Fremont; grandchildren, Wyatt and Layla; and
nieces and nephew, Natalie Macknight-James; Nichole Macknight and John Macknight.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home,
Deshler, with Vicar Peg Marose officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
