Joan “Jo Ann” R. Aufdencamp, age 92, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Otterbein
Senior Living, Pemberville.
She was born on June 1, 1926 in Toledo, OH to Sherman and Ruth (Sandwisch) Ackenberger. On May 1, 1948
she married William F. Aufdencamp in Stony Ridge, OH who preceded her in death on January 20, 2016.
Jo Ann was a secretary in Toledo, Ohio before she married her loving husband of 67 years. After raising
six children she went back to work at Penta Career Center and Bowling Green State University in food
service, retiring in 1988.
Jo Ann is survived by her children, Karen Miller, Glen Aufdencamp, Deb (Mike) Mahr, Charles Aufdencamp,
Marilyn (Dave) Atkin, Janice (Tim) Gettig, eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband William, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marty Masters,
brother Dick Ackenberger and son-in-law Dennis Miller.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Marsh & Marsteller
Funeral Home, 110 Main St., Luckey, OH.
A funeral service will be at the funeral home 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019. Officiating will be Rev.
James Budke. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, OH.
Memorial contributions may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
