James Smith, 64, of North Baltimore, passed away at 5:25 p.m. Thursday May 16, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on January 7, 1955, in Bowling Green to the late Allen and Dorothy I. (Mathias) Smith. He
married Sara Basinger on January 12, 1974, and she survives.
Jim is also survived by his daughters: Holli (Michael) Swope of Van Buren and Jaymi (Thomas Ankney) Smith
of Findlay; his beloved grandchildren: Dalton and Madison Swope.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Dale and Floyd Smith.
Jim retired from Budd Company in North Baltimore.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633.
He enjoyed camping, golfing, traveling and most of all spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North
Baltimore, where visitation will be held 2 hours (noon-2 p.m.) prior to the service.
Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
