Columbus man indicted for threatening judge

Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson personally filed charges against a Columbus man for reportedly
threatening a judge.
Jermaine Cortez King, 38, has been charged in a May 6 incident for intimidation and retaliation in regard
to a public servant, party official or witness.
“He threatened a judge and this prosecutor’s office does not take that lightly. That’s why I personally
am taking this case and will prosecute him for his actions,” Dobson said.
The two counts relate to another case currently in process with King for money laundering and possessing
criminal tools. The intimidation charge and the retaliation charge are both third-degree felonies.
In other indictments, four different individuals were recently charged with counterfeiting. They were
among 28 persons indicted on Sept. 19 by a Wood County Grand Jury.
Brian Keith Woodland, Jerome Christopher Tyson and Andre Demone Hall, and Chad Nungester are all facing
charges on counterfeiting.
Woodland, 44, of Highland Park, Michigan, is facing two counts of counterfeiting, two counts of forgery
and possessing criminal tools. On May 15, he allegedly forged a Pennsylvania drivers license, and was
listed with the possibility of having to forfeit a weapon, a card reader and a cell phone, all involved
in his alleged crimes.
Woodland’s co-defendant, Tyson, 31, of Detroit, is facing two counts of counterfeiting along with two
counts of forgery, tampering with records, tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools, in
the same incident.
Hall, of Westland, Michigan, allegedly attempted to purchase a cell phone and a set of air pods with a
fraudulent identification and credit card on July 20. After being arrested, he was reportedly found to
have five counterfeit $100 bills.
Nungester, 29, Findlay, bought a MacBook on May 27 in a private sale for $300. When the victim looked
closer at the three $100 bills, she reportedly found them all to have the same serial number.
