Carolyn S. Johnson, age 56, of Bradner, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Toledo Hospital.
She was born on October 7, 1962 in Fostoria, OH to Robert and Illa (Cooper) Bickley.
She was a graduate of Lakota High School and on August 22, 1981 she married Jerry Johnson in Wayne, OH.
Carolyn and Jerry have raised one daughter and celebrated nearly 38 years of marriage together. Carolyn
was a heavy equipment operator for D & K Excavating in Perrysburg for the last 27 years. In
addition, for the past 30 years, she was a proud member of the International Union of Operating
Engineers (IUOE) Local 18, and was a past member of the Hope in Christ Community Church in Perrysburg.
Carolyn had a wonderful appreciation for the beauty of butterflies; however, it was her family,
especially her grandchildren that gave her the greatest joy.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Bobbie (Casey) May of Risingsun,
grandchildren: Gracie, Paul and Gavin, sisters: Sue (Mike) Bowser of NC, Ann (Paul) Lucius of Tiffin,
brothers: Greg (Amy) Bickley of Fostoria, Max (Laura) Bickley of Walbridge and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will be received 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Marsh & Marsteller
Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH.
A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 with Minister
Joel Nagel officiating.
