Perrysburg Municipal Building host exhibit of Indian art
PERRYSBURG – A Taste of India: A Group Exhibit of  Modern and Contemporary Indian Art featuring the work
of nine notable artists from India is on display at the Perrysburg Municipal Building, 201 W. Indiana
Avenue.  The exhibit runs now through December 24.
Bowling Green resident Justin Marx, owner of Kala Fine Arts  has been curating and representing artists
in India since his first trip to India in 1999. Most of the artists he represents have art careers in
India but had little exposure outside of the country. He has selected a diverse collection of work for
the Perrysburg Municipal Building exhibition. Many of the artists in the show have art work in the
National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, including Sekhar Kar and P. Perumal. Other artists
include   G.Raman, Munindra Rajbongshi, K.G. Narendra Babu and Partha Bhattacharjee.
The exhibit can be viewed Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to  4:30 p.m.
‘Cold War Roadshow’ to be screened & discussed at Way
PERRYSBURG – The Reel Opinions series will present "American Experience: Cold War Roadshow"
Nov. 20. at 10:30 a.m. at Way Library.
"Cold War Roadshow"  revisits one of the most bizarre episodes in the annals of modern history
– the unprecedented barnstorming across America by Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, the world leader of
Communism and America’s arch-nemesis, during 13 days in 1959.  A discussion will follow the screening.

Toledo Symphony to perform Chopin, smattering of Smetana
TOLEDO – The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will present The Chopin Project with guest pianist Abdel Rahman El
Bacha Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle.
The orchestra, conducted by Stefan Sanderling, and soloist will play different programs on Friday and
Saturday night.
On Friday the program will feature "Fantasy on Polish Airs" and Piano Concerto No. 1 by Chopin
and "The Moldau," "The High Castle" and "Sarka" by Bedrich Smetana.
Saturday program features Chopin’s Andanta spianato, "Grande polonaise brillante" and Piano
Concerto No. 2 and Smetana’s "Tabor," "Blanik" and "From Bohemia’s Forests and
Meadows."
