Alta Mae Damron, 74, of Waterville, OH, passed away October 5, 2019 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in
Perrysburg, OH. She was born October 2, 1945 in Perrysburg, OH to Paul E. & Josephine (Schmyr)
Parlette.
Alta was a custodian and lunch cashier at Otsego High School. She retired in 2005. She was a lifetime
member of Waterville United Methodist Church, a Brownie & Girl Scout Leader for 18 years, a
member of the Grand Rapids Legion Auxiliary Post #232 and a past member of the Maumee Rainbow Assembly
#30.
Survivors include children, Deanna (Rob) Mohr, Darla (Tom) Wright, Douglas (Sarah) Damron, Jr. and Donna
(Todd) Santus, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband of 37 years, Douglas Damron, Sr., and fiancé Don Myers.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Waterville United Methodist
Church, 102 N. 5th St., Waterville, OH. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
