The Bowling Green Arts Council will host Art in the Park at the Simpson Garden Park, 1291 Conneaut
Avenue, June 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Artists of all ages are invited to bring their easels and art supplies to the park to paint the gardens
for this event. In addition to the live paint-out, Art in the Park will feature local musicians and
performers from the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts.
The Black Swamp Players will perform short skits during the two-hour event as will the Horizon Youth
Theatre that will include an excerpt from their summer theater performance of ‘Once Upon A Mattress.’
Artists should arrive and register in front of the garage at Simpson Garden Park on the day of the event
between 4 and 4:30 p.m.
Artists will then select their painting location on a first-come, first-served basis.
Artists may not bring additional work and no sales can be made on Park premises, however they are
encouraged to bring business cards to distribute.
The rain date for the event is June 12.
