Angelwood hosts ‘Wild Fire’ exhibit

GRAND RAPIDS – "Wild Fires," a new exhibit at Angelwood Gallery, 24195 Front St., will open
with a reception Saturday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The show continues through June 11.  
"Wild Fires" focuses on new work by Julie A. Beutler, Christy Cordell and Connie Stose. Their
latest pots from both the wood kiln and oxidation firings.  They will have around 125 new clay pieces
ranging from functional to decorative to garden-inspired pieces.  
They will also have paintings, mixed media and photography in this show.
The show also includes work by the gallery’s regularly featured artists: Cindy Steiler, fiber Jenny Schu
, bead jewelry; Beth Ziss, fused glass jewelry; Nadine Musser, silverware-inspired pieces; Brandon Knott
and Molly King, pottery; Ann Hymel, fused glass; Greg Justus, impressionistic painting; and Ruth
Summers, two-dimensional multimedia work.
