"The Long Voyage Home," the seafaring drama starring John Wayne in his personal favorite role,
will be screened Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Gish Theater in Hanna Hall on the Bowling Green State
University campus.
Directed by John Ford, the 1940 film based on a play by Eugene O’Neill also features Barry Fitzgerald,
Thomas Mitchell and Mildred Natwick.
The dark drama has Wayne playing an sensitive and idealistic young Swedish sailor.
Jan Wahl will introduce the film.
Before the feature attraction, the 1941 cartoon "Superman" by Max Fleischer will be shown.
