Scenes from ‘Carmelites’ opera featured at lunch
Scenes from Poulenc’s "Dialogues of the Carmelites," by the Bowling Green State University
Opera Theatre will be presented at Brown Bag Music Series Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the
Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave.
"Dialogues for the Carmelites" will be staged on campus March 27 at 8 p.m. and March 29 by 3
p.m.
Brown Bag series attendees are invited to bring their lunch and hear the musical performance by students
and faculty from BGSU’s College of Musical Arts. Drinks and dessert will be available for purchase.
The series is presented by the City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department along with the
College of Musical Arts.
‘Dear White People’ to be shown on campus
The film, "Dear White People," will be screened at Bowling Green State University Friday from
7-9:30 p.m. in room 220 of the Math/Science building.
A discussion will follow the free screening.
"Dear White People" is satirical look at a fictional Ivy League university campus where a
student run humor magazine hosts a Halloween party with an "unleash your inner Negro" theme.

The ensemble cast address individual and systemic racism associated with this party from various
perspectives while deconstructing racial messages in the movie "Gremlins," critiquing Tyler
Perry, and challenging white privilege. The film is rated R for language, sexual content and drug use.

The film is presented by ECCO, Executive in Context and Community.
Masterworks Chorale sings in Rosary Cathedral
TOLEDO – Masterworks Chorale, a mixed voice ensemble comprised of singers from the Toledo-area, will
present the "Classics Concert: Lux Aeterna" Sunday at 8 p.m. at Rosary Cathedral, 2535
Collingwood Blvd.
The Chorale will present a program of music that spans centuries and features Gabriel Faure’s Requiem
with a chamber orchestra.

Toledo Rep to read ‘Last Days of Judas’
TOLEDO – The Toledo Repertoire Theatre will present the Edgy Rep reading of "The Last Days of Judas
Iscariot" Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Valentine Theatre’s Studio A theatre, 410 Adams St.

Directed by Jeffrey J. Albright and presented by a cast of more than 15 characters, the play provides a
fictional account of a court case to determine the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot.
"The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" contains mature subject matter, including disturbing themes
and strong language.

Wildcats jazz on tap
TOLEDO – The Wildcats, a jazz ensemble of two cellos and piano, will perform March 25 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
at the Toledo Club.
The trio features Jordon Schug, Mike Karoub and Glenn Tucker/
Tickets are $25, $10 for students and $20 for members of the Toledo Club and the Art Tatum Jazz Society.
