Pro Musica serves Coffee & Classics

Pro Musica will host its annual Coffee & Classics Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the atrium of the
Wood County District Public Library, 215 N. Main St. in downtown Bowling Green.
The public is invited to enjoy a cup of coffee and a morning chamber music concert featuring student
pianists from Bowling Green State University’s College of Musical Arts.
Students performing have been recipients of travel grants funded through Pro Musica at the college.
For more than 30 years Pro Musica, funded by more than 300 dedicated alumni, friends, parents, students
and members of the community, has sponsored a wide variety of musical events and provided financial
support to music students for educational travel projects.
In addition, the organization provides funding for scholarships and various awards at the college.
Scheduled performers and pieces include:
•    Octavian Moldoven, flute, and Danny Milan, piano, performing Siegfried Karg-Elert’s Chaconne for
solo flute, and Petre Elinescu’s "Introduction and Dance of the Witches."
•    Chia-Jung Lin, piano, Franz Liszt’s Concert Paraphrase on "Rigoletto."
•    Bethany Post, soprano, Jerry Bock and  Sheldon Hornick’s "Far From the Home I Love" from
"Fiddler on the Roof" and Victor Herbert’s "Art is Calling for Me (The Prima Donna
Song)."
•    Jennifer Cresswell, soprano, and Chia-Jung Lin, piano, Jean-Paul-√âgide Martini "Plaisir
d’amour" and Francesco Paolo Tosti’s "Non t’amo piu."
•    Jayde Weide, flute, J.S. Bach’s Partita in A Minor for Solo Flute.
•    Tricia Kushen, soprano, and Alphonsus Kiu, piano, Giacomo Puccini’s "Quando men vo" from
"La Boheme" and Gilbert and Sullivan’s "Poor Wandering One" from "Pirates of
Penzance."
•    David Timlin, violin, and Amy Faber, piano, Pablo de Sarasate’s "Playera, Op. 23."
