Outsider art on display
PERRYSBURG – Outsider Inside: A Solo Exhibit by Temo Perez is now on display during office hours at the
Perrysburg Municipal Building, 201 W. Indiana Ave.
Perez is a self taught artist who has cultivated his natural talent by balancing what he regards as a
gift with a quest for studying art and artists. Perez describes his process as: "I look inward and
allow whatever is there to emerge and express itself."  The exhibit, which includes 22 works, is
sponsored by Main Art-ery.
Acrylic painting workshop to be held in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – An acrylic painting workshop taught by Sarah Bonham will be offered with Tips and Tricks
offered Jan.  29¬†from 6-9 p.m. at  Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana St.
Participants will learn about different acrylic techniques  and create a hands either landscape or
portrait painting. The class will be appropriate for beginner through intermediate students.

Way screens ‘Firelight’
PERRYSBURG –  Way Public Library continues its Reel Art International and Art Film Series with a free
showing of "Firelight" Friday at 7 p.m.
"Firelight" is a period romance starring Sophie Marceau as a Swiss governess who enters into a
clandestine contract to bear a child for an anonymous English aristocrat. After only three days
together, their attraction to each other is undeniable, but she keeps the agreement, giving up her
daughter at birth and moving on. Seven years later, fate brings them back together.
Admission and refreshments are free.
Blues Bash on tap
TOLEDO – The Black Swamp Blues Society will host a Blues Bash to Memphis Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Laffs
Inc., 3922 Secor Road.
The show will feature Bobby G., Boogie Boys, Niecie Blues, Pat Lewandowski amd The Doug Hart Band.
Admission is $15 or $10 with five non-perishable food items for The Northwest Ohio Food Bank.
Met Opera’s ‘Merry Widow’ screened at area theaters
The Met: Live in HD  will present a live screening of "The Merry Widow" from the Metropolitan
Opera Saturday at 12:55 p.m. at Cinemark Fallen Timbers 14 in Maumee and Cinemark Franklin Park 16 in
Toledo.
An encore showing will be presented Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
