‘The Monuments Men’ on screen at Way Library
PERRYSBURG – The World War II art treasure hunt film "The Monuments Men" will be shown Jan. 14
at 2 p.m. as part of Way Library’s Show Me the Movie contemporary film series. 
Based on the true story, ‘The Monuments Men’ is an action drama set in Germany during World War II. It
focuses on a platoon made up of museum directors, curators, and art historians charged with rescuing
artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves behind enemy lines.  This 2014 release stars George Clooney (who
also directed), Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, and John Goodman.
Author support group offered in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – PRIZM Creative Community and Way Public Library will host a "No Mic Night," author
support event Jan.  15 from 7-9 p.m. 
Local author Harley King will serve as guest facilitator.   King,  a professional trainer for HCR
ManorCare, has published 12 books of poetry, two works of non-fiction, and is is an expert in haiku. 

King has issued an optional writing prompt: Write a 20-line poem on the topic of seasons of change
composed of five four-line stanzas that employ concrete images and tell a story.
International art focus of new big screen series
NEW YORK (AP) – The exhibition "Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs" at New York’s Museum of Modern Art
is coming to the big screen for one day on Tuesday. 
Single-day virtual guided tours of four other exhibitions from major museums will be shown at select
cinemas across the country over the next several months.  Theaters showing the exhibition include:
Franklin Park 16, 5001 Monroe St., Toledo, andFallen Timbers 14 2300 Village Drive W., Maumee.
Screenings at 7 p.m. 
Other exhibit tours planed are:
•A Rembrandt exhibition from London’s National Gallery and Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, Feb. 24. 
•An exhibition from Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum , April 14.
•Johannes Vermeer’s "Girl With a Pearl Earring" and other works from the Hague’s Mauritshuis,
June 23.
•"The Impressionists" from the Museum of Luxembourg, Paris, the National Gallery London and the
Philadelphia Museum of Art, July 14.

Toledo Rep staging Coward’s ‘Blithe Spirit’
TOLEDO – The Toledo Rep’s Main Stage production of "Blithe Spirit" opens Jan. 16, 2015 at 16
Tenth St. and continues weekends through Jan. 25.
The Noel Coward comedy is direted by Matthew Gretzinger. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin
at 8 p.m with  Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. The cast includes: Kendra Beitzel as Edith, Marissa Rex as
Ruth, Matt Kizaur as Charles, John Corcoran as Dr. Bradman, Kate Argow as Mrs. Bradman, Cindy Bilby as
Madame Arcati and Kate Abu-Absi as Elvira.
