Perrysburg Symphony presents Mostly MozartPERRYSBURG – The Perrysburg Symphony will present Mostly
Mozart, a concert featuring pianist Michael Boyd twice this weekend.The concert will be staged Saturday at 7
p.m. at the Owens Community College Center for the Performing Arts, off Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township,
and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Monroe Street United Methodist Church.Boyd, on the University of Toledo faculty
and a visiting professor at Eastman School of Music, will perform Mozart’s piano concerto No. 21 in C
Major.The orchestra, conducted by Robert Mirakian, will also perform Mozart’s overture for "The
Abduction from the Seraglio," Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 and a contemporary composition "21"

Michael Till shares photographic trip on Route 20PERRYSBURG – Writer Michael Till will discuss his book
"Along Ohio’s Historic Route 20" Sunday at 2 p.m. at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana
Ave.Designated a federal highway in 1926, U.S. 20 zigzags for 25 miles through Wood County. One section of
Till’s book includes historical photographs from Perrysburg and other nearby towns.Till has collected more
than 200 vintage postcards capturing views along the route.Perrysburg event focuses on the sounds of
patriotismPERRYSBURG- The Maumee Valley Defenders of Liberty and Northwest Ohio Conservative Coalition are
presenting "A Patriotic Musical Evening For Children And Adults" at Way Public Library Oct. 30 at
7 p.m.The evening includes "The Star Spangled Banner," an interactive presentation with audience
participation by Vivienne Sommerfield and a vocalist. The other presentation will be "Life In An 1800’s
Log Cabin" by Cheryl Garlow, with music provided by Sommerfield.Way Library to host Halloween screening
of ‘House of Usher’PERRYSBURG – Way Public Library will host a special Halloween screening of the 1960 film
"The Fall of the House of Usher" Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.The movie adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s
haunting story was directed by Roger Corman and stars Vincent Price and Myrna Fahey. In 2005 the movie was
added to the United States National Film Registry.Costumes are optional, but encouraged. There will be
popcorn, treats and Poe trivia!This adults-only program is free.Toledo Symphony presents Spooktacular on
SundayTOLEDO – The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will present its Halloween Spooktacular Sunday starting with
activities at 2 p.m. with the performance at 3 p.m. in The Valentine Theatre, 410 Adams St.Conducted by
Jeffrey Pollock, the orchestra’s program will include: "March of the Little Goblins" by Adam
Glaser; "Sorcerer’s Apprentice" by Paul Dukas; "Harry’s Wondrous World," "Cantina
Band" from Star Wars" and "Shark Theme" from "Jaws" by John Williams; and
"March to the Scaffold" by Hector Berlioz.Activities will include an instrument petting

anniversary with a triple bill Sunday at 9 p.m.Performers will be:• Thollem’s Confluence is a solo project
of pianist Thollem McDonas that reflects his global travels.• Patrick Breiner will perform solo saxophone
works as his alter ego, Vartan Mamigonian. He sometimes achieves the effect of multiple instruments by using
his voice to create contrapuntal lines, or by the speed of his playing.• Rob Lundberg will perform solo
