Live in House returning with ‘Belle of the Blues’

The Live in the House Concert Series at the Pemberville Opera House and the Grand Rapids Town Hall
Opera House are set to resume.The first concert in Pemberville only features Lisa Biales, "Belle of the
Blues," Saturday at 7:30 p.m.A native of Ohio, Biales grew up in a musical family and began her career
as a performing songwriter at 13. A singer and finger-style guitarist has independently released seven
albums of music under her own Big Song Music label, and is heard on radio stations around the world. Her
song "Playing With Angels" went to No. 1 in Australia on the Independent Folk Radio Charts. In the
US, Lisa’s song "Where The Buckwheat Blooms" went to No. 32 on folk radio stations, and "I
Believe" was featured in the CW Network TV show "Girlfriends." Her CD "Closet
Hippie" is being played on Sirius XM’s The Coffee House.Mick Rainsford, Blues In Britain, wrote:
"Biales soulfully mines a diverse range of roots and Americana music."The performances, sponsored
by the Pemberville Historical Society and the Grand Rapids Arts Council, are staged the first weekend of
each month through May with shows Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Pemberville and Sunday 2 p.m. in Grand Rapids.
