Navy band to commemorate Battle of Lake EriePERRYSBURG – The Navy Band Great Lakes Wind Ensemble
will commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie fought during the War of 1812 with a free
Labor Day concert at Commodore Park at the intersection of Indiana and Louisiana Avenues Monday at 1 p.m. No
tickets are required."Pride in Service" has been the theme for Navy Band Great Lakes for more than
102 years. -Homeported on board Naval Station Great Lakes, Navy Band Great Lakes performs more than 500
times each year throughout a nine-state area of the United States.Dubbed, "America’s Band," by
President Woodrow Wilson, Navy Band Great Lakes annually entertains more than 60 million people as the

seeking entries for art show for veteransPRIZM Creative Community is seeking artists and writers for its
first Veteran’s Art Exhibition of Northwest Ohio, called "Salute to Freedom." The two month
exhibit will be on display during November into early January at the Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave.
in Perrysburg.The exhibit is open to all honorably discharged veterans of any era or branch of service in
any media or genre of visual or literary art. The show is also open to entries from family members of
veterans and/or deceased veterans. These entries may honor the veteran or be entries of their works or that
