BG art venues hopping Friday

First Friday Gallery Hop, the monthly showcase od Bowling Green’s art venues, will take place
Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.During the gallery hop, the public is invited to stroll to the participating
venues to view art exhibits, watch as artists demonstrate their skills, meet the artists, listen to live
music and enjoy refreshments.The participating locations this month include the following:• art-a-site!
116 S. Main St. presents "Three Cheers for the Read, Write and Hue!" Meet author/illustrators
who write for both children and adults.•Café Havana, 309 S. Main St. features art by Beth Genson, Sarah
Bonham and Allie McClure.•Mary’s Pottery Studio, 437 S. Main St., ground floor in South Main Common
Space) features wheel throwing demonstrations by ceramic artist, Mary Dennis. Also featuring Bowling
Green native, Tim Dennis, who is a space physicist by day and musician by night. Tim is a versatile
guitar instrumentalist and singer whose music ranges from ’60s and ’70s covers, contemporary finger
style and jazz guitar along with his own original pieces.•TOAD Gallery, 1220 W. Wooster St. (inside Good
to Go) presents recent photographs by Chris Burch of Wild Oak Photography.For more information about the
