Rhythm on the River series presents show by TapestryGRAND RAPIDS – Tapestry will present the
second program of the Rhythm on the River Arts Series on Sunday at 4 p.m. the Wright Pavilion on the
towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street.Harpist Denise Grupp-Verbon
and acoustic guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Michael Grupp-Verbon have been performing and recording
together for more than 11 years.Tapestry plays a variety of styles including Celtic, folk, pop and
classical, both original and in original arrangements.The Series is sponsored by the Grand Rapids
Historical Society.Music for drums & cassettes on stage at Robinwood venueTOLEDO – Robinwood
Concert House will host a show featuring Chicago-based percussionist Tim Daisy and magnetic cassette
tape composer Jason Zeh, recently of Bowling Green, Sunday at 9 p.m.Daisy , a percussionist, composer
and educator working in the fields of improvised and composed music has performed, recorded, and toured
with many acclaimed musicians and ensembles including Joe McPhee. John Tchicai and Steve Swell. He has
composed for solo percussion, chamber groups, jazz ensembles, dance, theater, and film.In 2001 Daisy
joined the acclaimed ensemble The Vandermark 5, making six recordings with the group. In 2002 he was
named one of 13 "Drummers For The Future" by Downbeat Magazine.Zeh, who recently relocated to
Kansas City, creates music integrating elements of drone, musique concrete, and noise. In performance,
Zeh mixes previously recorded source sounds with real-time manipulation of cassette tape through the use
of modified tape decks and dismantled cassettes.Donations of $5 are
