Magrum hosts piano recitalThe students of Cheryl Magrum will have their spring piano recital
Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wood County District Public Library.The students are: Emma Bahnsen, Alex Boyer,
Nash Boyer, Laurel Emily Bruhl, Michaela Desmond, Jesiah Foreman, Micah Foreman, Kathryn Fyfe, Matthew Fyfe,
Jack Hanus, Samuel Hise, Miranda Lentz, Jenna Magrum, Sydney Magrum, Gabriel Morin, Grace O’Hare and Macy
Thomas.Playshop announces seasonWATERVILLE – The Waterville Playshop announced its forthcoming season at its
annual meeting held last week.Scheduled productions are:• "Anything Goes" directed by Matt Zwyer,
October 18-20.• "Over the River and Through the Woods" directed by Joe Barton, Feb. 14-16.•
"The King and I", directed by Sam Macera, May 9-11.All productions will be at the Maumee Indoor
Theatre.The troupe also bestowed its Playshop Spirit Award to Deb Harley The award is given to a member who
has demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, involvement and support as a member for at least five
years.Macera also took over as chairman of the Playshop’s board.Toledo Art Museum askspatrons to make
videosTOLEDO – The Toledo Museum of Art patrons will have an opportunity to help celebrate International
Museum Day with a Museum Day Video Challenge.TMA wants to see what visitors love about the museum. Patrons
are invited to record a short video clip of themselves explaining why they believe a visit to TMA is a
memorable experience. Submissions can be up to 60 seconds long and must be filmed at TMA. Participants will
then upload the videos to YouTube and send a link to the museum via a form on the museum’s website.Entrants
are encouraged to film videos in areas that they particularly enjoy, whether it be the main museum building,
the Glass Pavilion, the Welles Sculpture Garden or anywhere else on the grounds. The question is open-ended,
and possible video topics include a favorite work of art, a powerful memory, an impact the museum has had on
visitors personally and more.Winners will receive museum gift cards and have their videos featured on the
TMA website, as well as the museum’s YouTube and Facebook pages.International Museum Day aims to raise
awareness of the role museums play in the development of society. Thousands of museums participate
worldwide. This year’s theme is "Museums (Memory + Creativity) = Social Change."
