Cooper will present Music at the Manor House at 7:30 p.m. in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo.The 2007 film
"Smiley Face" by director Gregg Araki will be screened at 7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater in Hanna
Hall. Actress Anna Farris plays Jane F. who accidentally eats her scary roommate’s marijuana cupcakes. The
plot follows Jane as she attempts to get her life back in order while under the influence. The supporting
cast includes John Krasinski, Adam Brody, Jayma Mays and Jane Lynch.Trombone and French horn students
perform in the Donnell Theatre starting at 8 p.m.THURSDAYThe International Film Series presents the Academy
Award-winning documentary "Into the Arms of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport" at 7:30
p.m. in Gish Film Theater. The British film chronicles the story of the kindertransport, which saved the
lives of 10,000 Jewish children during the Holocaust, through the words of survivors.National Book
Award-winning novelist Jaimy Gordon, author of "The Lord of Misrule," and visiting writer for
BGSU’s Creative Writing Program, gives a reading at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. The series is sponsored by
the College of Arts and Sciences and the Mid-American Review.FRIDAYPianist Christopher Fisher will perform a
guest artist recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.APRIL 1Sean Caulfield,
the Centennial Professor in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Alberta, will give an
ARTalk, "Perceptions of Promise: Biotechnology, Society and Art," at 6 p.m. in 1101 Fine Arts
Center.Jazz Week kicks off at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall with a performance by the Chamber Jazz Ensembles.
The events continues through April 5 with performances by visiting artists Hugh Masekela and drummer Peter
Erksine and student ensembles.APRIL 2Voice students of Myra Merritt perform as part of Music at the Manor
House at 7:30 p.m. in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo.Jazz Week continues in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore
Musical Arts Center with a performance by the Vocal Jazz Ensemble.APRIL 3Legendary South African trumpeter
Hugh Masekela performs on the Festival Series in conjunction with Jazz Week. Masekela is best known for his
1968 Grammy-nominated single "Grazing in the Grass," which sold over four million copies. The
concert begins at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. A free Festival Series Forum to
learn more about Masekela and his music begins at 7:15 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall at the Moore center.

Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition continues through April 10 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and
Willard Wankelman galleries of the Fine Arts Center. The exhibit opens Sunday and continues through April
10. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m.
Sundays.
