BGSU choir sings ‘Carmina Burana’ with symphony

TOLEDO – The Bowling Green State University Choral Society will join the Toledo Symphony Orchestra
to perform Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana." at 8 p.m. in the Peristyle of the Toledo Museum of
Art.The program conducted by Guest James Meena, will also feature the American premiere of Turkish composer
"1001 Nights in the Harem." The piece incorporates traditional Turkish instruments with the
orchestra.In "Carmina Burana" Orff set poems from a medieval manuscript that explore issues of
love, morals and spirituality.The program opens with Gioachino Rossini’s Overture to "Le Si?®ge de
