Cla-Zel concert promises a blast back to 1970s
A "Throwback to the 70’s" concert will be presented Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Cla-Zel, 127
N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The concert organized by Bowling Green State University graduate student Lance Witty features vocals by
Morgen Stiegler fronting a seven-piece band playing songs made hits by the likes of Stevie Wonder,
Aretha Franklin and the Commodores including "Respect," "Sir Duke," "Chain of
Fools," "Superstition" and "Dance to the Music"
Band members are: Witty, trumpet, Collin Griebling, trombone, Chris Kosar, alto saxophone, Alvin Dawson,
percussion, Wil Deyoung, bass, Mike Espinosa, electric guitar, and Pete Ford, keyboards.
Perrysburg Musical Theatre
serves up movie tunes
PERRYSBURG – The Perrysburg Musical Theatre presents its annual fundraiser "CINEMANIA: Music from
the Silver Screen" Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Perrysburg High School auditorium.
The show features a cast of more than 75 community members performing songs from the movies including
"Hakuna Matata," "Thanks for the Memories," "All that Jazz," "The Way
You Look Tonight," "Moon River" and "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head."

Punk films to be screened
The Other Musics free film festival continues Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Grounds for Thought, 174 S. Main St.,
Bowling Green, with a double feature.
Movies to be screened are: "Taqwacore: The Birth of Punk Islam" (Omar Majeed, 2009) and
"Don’t Need You: Herstory of Riot Grrrl" (Kerri Koch, 2005).
BG author signing books
Eric Myerholtz will be at Grounds for Thought on Saturday, from 10 a.m.to noon signing copies of his new
novel "Faith and Energy."
Copies of his first book, "The Liberty Group" will also be available. The novels feature
characters who attended Bowling Green State University as well as references to Bowling Green.
Buzzelli, Dickey featured
at Jazz on Maumee show
TOLEDO – Guitarist Chris Buzzelli and pianist Eric Dickey will perform at Jazz on the Maumee Wednesday
from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Aqua Lounge, of the Grand Plaza Hotel, 444 N. Summit St. Admission is $15 and
$10 for members of the Art Tatum Jazz Society.
Owens student art exhibit
opening in Findlay library
FINDLAY – The Fall Student Art Exhibition "Our Best Yet" will open Nov. 28 in the Library
Gallery, on the Owns Community College Findlay campus.
"An Evening of the Arts at Owens," a reception and discussion of the work by students, will be
held Dec. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit continues through Dec. 14. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday
from 8 a.m. to7 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Among the students showing work are: Jessica Thompson, Bowling Green; Zach Stienman, Jerry City; Audrey
Elgin , Bloomdale; and Michaella Smith, Shaun Coleman and Alicia Bryant, all of Fostoria.
